If I hadn't already been familiar with the series or it was a separate game, I most likely would've passed it by. I know what you mean! Really the only reason I bought Styling Star was because it's Style Savvy. It’s just not the same to see a thumbnail when you’re digitally browsing-we’ve been trained too well by things like invasive website ads to just ignore images that don’t immediately grab us or relate to what we’re looking for. That’s how I was introduced to Style Savvy and its first sequel-I just happened to see them in-store, and it’s likely if it wasn’t for that I would have never known the series existed and/or continued. Related tangent: I think games like Style Savvy and Fashion Dreamer benefit more from the serendipity of just walking in a store and seeing it on the shelf than more mainstream titles. My opinion hinges a lot on the fact that the last Style Savvy game (Styling Star) didn’t get a physical release in the States even though it did in Japan. No matter how it turns out though I’m set on supporting it because I want them to feel like making these games is worthwhile.Personally, as much as I’d prefer a physical copy, I don’t think it’s terribly likely-at least not in North America.
I am curious as to how they will accomplish having enough content to keep players entertained. I did love the store management aspect of the games and I feel like we need at least one game of that sort on the Switch. That said, I would still want an actual Style Savvy game for the Switch. Maybe I just don’t have high standards to begin with but what I’ve seen is already enough to make me excited for this game. As of right now the best ones, in my opinion and model debut 2 and Pretty Princess Party (which is really more of an interior design game with a lot of pretty dresses). Because of their history with Style Savvy I have a lot of evidence to believe that the game will be a fun experience and I’m very confident that it will be the Switch’s best fashion game. There hasn’t been much shown so we don’t know for sure that there’s no story and I can’t imagine that Syn Sophia would just toss you into an aimless world. I do no I'm going to pray that synsnopia releases their own version of the game like what happened with harvest moon but this time marvelous is the one with the subpar game.
I dunno I'm not pleased it feels like the dramatically scaled back instead of building onto the series. You can dress up yourself and random passer-by? Who you interact with in splatoon style? And there is no actual requirement for the dress-up? No city to explore! No cast to interact with and the online is not even multi-player? It has less to offer than life makeover or even shining nikki both of which are mobile game yet somehow have way better graphics.

Just the online brand design with just two Mannequin and a small space that's barely on par with trendsetters store windows design. We went from running an entire business, making friends and interacting with the world (street snaps, nuances magazine, hanging out with friends), styling clients for various events, working at a hair salon, and beauty studio, having an entire storyline, potential love interests, inventory management, shop design, room design, store window design, and money Management. After watching the trailer and seeing the content that has been put out it just seems like a watered down version of a really good franchise.
